From 17-20 October 2024, the Ascona-Locarno region will host the grand finale of the Golden Trail World Series. The «Ascona Locarno Golden Trail Finals» will see 160 professional athletes competing, including the top 30 trail runners in the world.
Framed by the scenic beauty of the region, the event will consist of a 7km prologue and a 23.5 km race on the picturesque trails of Cardada, a beautiful local mountain surrounded by nature.
Both prologue and race run on «flower format» routes, featuring a start, finish and several passages through the Fan Zone, the beating heart of the event, where the public can fully enjoy the spectacle.
The «Ascona Locarno Golden Trail Finals» are not only reserved for professionals (ELITE). Amateurs and enthusiasts (OPEN) will have the unique opportunity to test themselves by running both prologue and race, experiencing the excitement and adrenaline of a world final.
The Finale will be broadcast live on Eurosport, but the live experience promises much more excitement.
