17 December, when she won the 10km classic style event. The last time
two German (including West and East Germany) cross-country skiers won

January 1986, when East Germans Gaby Nestler and Simone Opitz won
successive events.
Carl has participated in eight World Cup events in Toblach, with a seventh
place in the 10km freestyle on 4 February 2023 as her best result.
Ebba Andersson won the first 10km classic style event in the 2023/24
women’s World Cup in Ruka and finished third in Trondheim. Andersson
leads the distance standings going into Toblach, 27 points ahead of Jessie
Diggins.

consecutive individual distance events at the resort.
Rosie Brennan came second in both of the previous two 10km classic
style events this World Cup season: in Ruka on 25 November and in
