Om rittet
The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships will take place in Val di Sole, Italy, in 2026. From 26 to 30 August, the renowned venue in the Trentino region will once again welcome the world’s best riders to compete for rainbow jerseys across five formats: cross-country Olympic (XCO), cross-country relay (XCR), cross-country short track (XCC), E-mountain bike (E-MTB), and downhill (DHI).
Val di Sole has developed a strong reputation among the mountain bike community over the years. The Italian destination has already hosted the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in 2008, 2016, and 2021. It is also a longstanding host of the discipline’s UCI World Cup, most recently welcoming a stopover of the 2025 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, which featured UCI World Cup rounds for XCO, XCC and DHI.
Known for its dramatic alpine landscapes, passionate crowds, and legendary courses – including the infamous “Black Snake” downhill track and some of the sport’s most technical cross-country circuits – Val di Sole will again challenge and delight the athletes.
With its deep racing heritage and unique atmosphere, Val di Sole is set to write a new and memorable chapter of mountain bike history.
