Gruppespill (12. – 13. august)
Sixteen players are split into two groups of eight. The top four from each group advance to the Playoffs.
- Each group plays a double-elimination bracket
- Time control: 10+0
- Matches consist of two games
- Draw offers are not allowed until after Black’s 40th move
- The Upper Bracket Final and Lower Bracket Semifinal of each group are not played out; those players qualify directly.
Sluttspill (14. – 15. august)
The top four players from each group compete in the Playoffs for the title.
- Single-elimination bracket
- Time control: 10+0
- Quarterfinal matches consist of four games
- Semifinal and third-place matches consist of six games
- Final match consists of three sets (four games, four games, and two games)
- Draw offers are not allowed until after Black’s 40th move
